Every discipline we support has its own complement of mediums to make the media do what the artist requires. Oil Painters use Linseed Oil, Liquin, Oleopasto et al, use a large assortment of mediums, varnishes, drying retarders and hasteners, modelling pastes, textural enhancers and the like. need masking fluid. Pastel artists use fixatives and grounds. 

Gesso comes in colors, clear, and in different qualities. We have Gesso from Speedball, Golden, Liquitex and Galeria  and Dry Gesso from Tara and Grumbacher.
